Positive Thinking

Father : “I want you to marry a girl of my choice”
Son : “I will choose my own bride!”
Father : “But the girl is Bill Gates`s daughter.”
Son : “Well, in that case…ok”
Next - Father approaches Bill Gates.
Father : “I have a husband for your daughter.”
Bill Gates : “But my daughter is too young to marry!”
Father : “But this young man is a vice-president of the World Bank.”
Bill Gates : “Ah, in that case…ok”
Finally Father goes to see the president of the World Bank.
Father : “I have a young man to be recommended as a vice-president.”
President : “But I already have more vice- presidents than I need!”
Father : “But this young man is Bill Gates`s son-in-law.”
President : “Ah, in that case…ok”

This is how business is done!!

Moral: Even If you have nothing, you can get Anything. But your
attitude should be positive

What is Adoption?

Teacher Debbie Moon’s first graders were discussing a picture of  a family. One little boy in the picture had a different hair color than the other members. One of her students suggested that he was adopted.

A little girl said, “I know all about adoption, I was adopted.”

“What does it mean to be adopted?”, asked another child.

“It means”, said the girl, “that you grew in your mommy’s heart instead of her tummy!”

Positivity

Whenever I’m disappointed with my spot in life, I stop and think about little Jamie Scott.

Jamie was trying out for a part in the school play. His mother told  me that he’d set his heart on being in it, though she feared he would not be chosen.

On the day the parts were awarded, I went with her to collect him after school. Jamie rushed up to her, eyes shining with pride and excitement.

“Guess what, Mom,” he shouted, and then said those words that will remain a lesson to me…..”I’ve been chosen to clap and cheer.”

Four Friends !!!

Once upon a time there was a girl who had four boyfriends.

She loved the fourth boyfriend the most and adorned him with rich robes
and treated him to the finest of delicacies. She gave him nothing but the
best.

She also loved the third boyfriend very much and was always showing him
off to neighboring kingdoms. However, she feared that one day he would
leave her for another.

She also loved her second boyfriend. He was her confidant and was always
kind, considerate and patient with her. Whenever this girl faced a
problem, she could confide in him, and he would help her get through the
difficult times.

The girl’s first boyfriend was a very loyal partner and had made great
contributions in maintaining her wealth and kingdom. However, she did not
love the first boyfriend. Although he loved her deeply, she hardly took
notice of him!

One day, the girl fell ill and she knew her time was short. She thought of
her luxurious life and wondered, ‘I now have four boyfriends with me, but
when I die, I’ll be all alone.’

Thus, she asked the fourth boyfriend, ‘I loved you the most, endowed you
with the finest clothing and showered great care over you. Now that I’m
dying, will you follow me and keep me company?’

‘No way! replied the fourth boyfriend, and he walked away without another
word.

His answer cut like a sharp knife right into her heart.

The sad girl then asked the third boyfriend, ‘I loved you all my life. Now
that I’m dying, will you follow me and keep me company?’

No! replied the third boyfriend. ‘Life is too good! When you die, I’m
going to marry someone else!’
Her heart sank and turned cold.

She then asked the second boyfriend, ‘I have always turned to you for help
and you’ve always been there for me. When I die, will you follow me and
keep me company?’
‘I’m sorry, I can’t help you out this time!’, replied the second
boyfriend. ‘At the very most, I can only walk with you to your grave.’

His answer struck her like a bolt of lightning, and the girl was
devastated.

Then a voice called out: ‘I’ll go with you. I’ll follow you no matter
where you go.’

The girl looked up, and there was her first boyfriend.. He was very skinny
as he suffered from malnutrition and neglect.

Greatly grieved, the girl said, ‘I should have taken much better care of
you when I had the chance!’

In truth, you have four boyfriends in your lives :

Your fourth boyfriend is your body. No matter how much time and effort you
lavish in making it look good, it will leave you when you die.

Your third boyfriend is your possessions, status and wealth. When you die,
it will all go to others.

Your second boyfriend is your family and friends. No matter how much they
have been there for you, the furthest they can stay by you is up to the
grave.

And your first boyfriend is your spirit. Often neglected in pursuit of
wealth, power and pleasures of the world.

However, your spirit is the only thing that will follow you where ever you
go. Cultivate, strengthen and cherish it now, for it is the only part of
you that will follow you into your next life and continue with you
throughout eternity.

Smile Time: Letter to Mr. Bill Gates

This letter is from Banta Singh to Mr. Bill Gates - Open-mouthed

Subject: Problems with my new computer

Dear Mr. Bill Gates,

We have bought a computer for our home and we have found some problems, which I want to bring to your notice.

1. There is a button ’start’ but there is no ’stop’ button. We request you to check this.

2. We find there is ‘Run’ in the menu. One of my friends clicked ‘run ‘ he ran upto Amritsar! So, we request you to change that to ’sit’, so that we can click that by sitting.

3. One doubt is whether any ‘re-scooter’ is available in system? I find only ‘re-cycle’, but I own a scooter at my home.

4. There is ‘Find’ button but it is not working properly. My wife lost the door key and we tried a lot trace the key with this ‘ find’ button, but was unable to trace. Please rectify this problem.

5. My child learnt ‘Microsoft word’ now he wants to learn ‘Microsoft sentence’, so when you will provide that?

6. I brought computer, CPU, mouse and keyboard, but there is only one icon which shows ‘MY Computer’: when you will provide the remaining items?

7. It is surprising that windows says ‘MY Pictures’ but there is not even a single photo of mine. So when will you keep my photo in that.

8. There is ‘MICROSOFT OFFICE’ what about ‘MICROSOFT HOME’ since I use the PC at home only.

9. You provided ‘My Recent Documents’. When you will provide ‘My Past Documents’?
10. You provide ‘My Network Places’. For God shake please do not provide ‘My Secret Places’. I do not want to let my wife know where I go after my office hours.

Regards,

Banta

Sing It Now

If you have work to do;  Do it now.

Today the skies are clear and blue,

Tomorrow clouds may come in view,

Yesterday is not for you;  Do it now.

If you have a song to sing;  Sing it now.

Let the tones of gladness ring,

Clear as song of bird in spring,

Let each day some music bring;  Sing it Now

If you have some kind words to say,
Say them now.

Tomorrow may not come your way;

Do a kindness while you may,

Loved ones will not always stay;

Say them Now.

If you have a smile to show.
Show it Now.

Make hearts happy, roses grow.

Let the friends around you know.

The love you have before they go;

Show it Now.

Club 99

Once upon a time, there lived a King who, despite his luxurious lifestyle, was neither happy nor content. One day, the King came upon a servant who was singing happily while he worked. This fascinated the King; why was he, the Supreme Ruler of the Land, unhappy and gloomy, while a lowly servant had so much. The King asked the servant, “Why are you so happy?”

The man replied, “Your Majesty, I am nothing but a servant, but my family and I don’t need too much - just a roof over our heads and warm food to fill our tummies.”

The king was not satisfied with that reply. Later in the day, he sought the advice of his most trusted advisor. After hearing the King’s woes and the servant’s story, the advisor said, “Your Majesty, I believe that the servant has not been made part of The Club 99.”

“The 99 Club? And what exactly is that?” the King inquired. The advisor replied, “Your Majesty, to truly know what The Club 99 is, place 99 Gold coins in a bag and leave it at this servant’s doorstep.”

When the servant saw the bag, he took it into his house. When he opened the bag, he let out a great shout of joy… so many gold coins! He began to count them. After several counts, he was at last convinced that there were 99 coins. He wondered, “What could’ve happened to that last gold coin? Surely, no one would leave 99 coins!” He looked everywhere he could, but that final coin was elusive. Finally, exhausted, he decided that he was going to have to work harder than ever to earn that gold coin and complete his collection.

From that day, the servant’s life was changed. He was overworked, horribly grumpy, and castigated his family for not helping him make that 100th gold coin. He stopped singing while he worked.

Witnessing this drastic transformation, the King was puzzled. When he sought his advisor’s help, the advisor said, “Your Majesty, the servant has now officially joined The Club 99.”

He continued, “The Club 99 is a name given to those people who have enough to be happy but are never contented, because they’re always yearning and striving for that extra 1 telling to themselves: “Let me get that one final thing and then I will be happy for life.”

We can be happy, even with very little in our lives, but the minute we’re given something bigger and better, we want even more! We lose our sleep, our happiness, we hurt the people around us; all these as a price for our growing needs and desires.

That’s what joining The Club 99 is all about.”
